Margaret Schell is a design consultant for Arhaus, a luxury sustainable furniture company with over 70 showrooms nationwide. Known for creating inviting environments, Margaret helps the trade and consumers alike furnish and style both commercial spaces and residences while at the same time advocating the importance of sustainability.
Having originally developed her professional skills working for Arhaus while attending college in Ohio, Margaret relocated to New York to accept an editorial position with 1001 Home Ideas and Modern Bride magazines. Shortly thereafter she became a fashion publicist, events and runway producer for notable American designers Norma Kamali, Badgley Mischka, Vivienne Tam and public relations agency KCD among others. In 2000 Margaret moved to Los Angeles where she started her own PR agency to create the city's first official fashion week.
Throughout her career Margaret has won several awards for PR, styled many celebrities and has placed original designs in the permanent collections of museums such as the Andy Warhol museum, the Victoria and Albert museum and, the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
She has been acknowledged by fashion designer Vivienne Tam and curator Dr. Valerie Steele in their respective books on fashion.
